BIO

Ryan Ferguson holds an FAA Airline Transport Pilot certificate (AMEL) with HS-125 type rating. He is a Gold Seal CFII/MEI in airplanes and CFI/I in helicopters. His 5300+ hours of flight time encompasses a wide gamut of domestic and international experience, in aircraft ranging from jets to turbine helicopters to the venerable Cessna 172.

Ryan has been instructing in the Central Florida area for 7 years. He has a true passion for the art and science of teaching people how to fly. He believes that learning should be fun, that the mood on the flight deck should be relaxed but focused, and that a good laugh goes a long way.

Ryan is a designated representative of the FAASTeam (FAA Safety Team) in the Orlando area. As an aviation consultant, he has provided expert interpretation of NTSB documents and commentary for aviation incidents and accidents -- always in defense of the flight crew.  In addition to flight instruction, Ryan is a professional contract pilot specializing in the Hawker HS-125 series business jet and Beechcraft King Air 90/200.

Ryan lives in Orlando, Florida with his wife and two young children. He is most often found instructing at Orlando Executive (ORL) and Orlando-Sanford International (SFB) airports.
